STORE NAME: “MAPLE STORE”
LOCATION: MUMBAI, HARDROCK CAFE
AREA: 5962 sq,ft.
CONCEPT: We had to design a retail store for the Apple products and so we had to keep in mind the different ranges of product, which Apple provides, such as, I-pod, Mac book (laptops), accessories, I-pad, I-phones and many electronic products. We had to choose one product from the above various ranges and design a special pod for these products.
The product I chose was the Mac book. The Apple Company provides the Mac book in different shapes and sizes and so I had to keep all these features in mind and I came up with a concept of the “brain”.
BRIEF: The brain has four sections and so I chose the right – bottom section of the brain and zoned it out as the basement especially for the Mac book.
The veins of the brains play a very vital role in designing the retail store. These veins became the medium of screens where the customers can have a look at their favorite products. The screens run up and down as and when required.
These veins automatically become the pathways for the customers to just explore the entire store. It’s a completely fun experience to just walk around these curvy veins and the screens popping out as and when required.
